Panda Security uses a system it calls "Collective Intelligence." Collective Intelligence taps into the community of users that it protects via Panda's cloud computing and accumulates data on the latest viruses and threats.

The Panda system then automatically processes the collected data and determines if potential threats are in fact infections. This verdict is then released back into the cloud community in real time.

In Panda's own words, the Collective Intelligence cloud system is "the first antivirus without an update button."
